We recently found out about the Newcastle Historic Coal Miner’s Cemetery from the Seattle Times and wanted to have a look. It is only open by appointment and for major holidays, and last weekend counted!
It was such a humbling experience to see these people’s graves, forgotten, yet pioneers of the Seattle area, right in the middle of the city. Here are the pictures:
